Many people are confused about sand making machines and crushers, unaware of their relationship and differences, so they often get confused. Both sand making machines and crushers are crushing equipment that can crush mineral materials such as pebbles and limestone, but in reality, they have certain differences.
Different types
Sand making machine, also known as impact crusher, actually belongs to one type of crusher.
There are many types of crushers: jaw crushers, cone crushers, heavy hammer crushers, impact crushers, and mobile crushers.
Different functions
The sand making machine is processed using the principle of "stone to stone" crusher, and is widely used for the medium and fine crushing (sand making) of various hard and brittle materials such as rocks, abrasives, refractory materials, cement clinker, quartz, iron ore, concrete aggregates, etc. Suitable for sand and gravel used in construction and road construction.
The crusher is mainly used to crush medium hardness and brittle materials, such as granite, river pebbles, pebbles, limestone, etc.
The order of use is different
Crushers are generally used on stone production lines, while sand making machines are generally used on sand and gravel production lines. In the stone production line and sand making production line, the crusher is used for the first stage of crushing, while the sand making machine is used for the second stage. If the block size of the material is relatively small, it can also be directly used for two-stage crushing.
Different feed particle sizes
The feed particle size of the crusher is relatively large, with a diameter generally around 1 to 2 meters, and it can directly crush large blocks of stone extracted from the mountains. The feed particle size of the sand making machine is relatively small, usually controlled around 20-30cm, and there are clear regulations on the feed particle size, which cannot exceed the limit set by the equipment, otherwise it is easy to damage the equipment.
Different discharge particle sizes
The sand crushed by the crusher is usually controlled at a particle size of 25mm or less, so that the sand making machine can proceed with the next step of sand making processing. The particle size of the sand processed by the sand making machine will be controlled within 5mm. Through screening, sand that meets the standards for building sand will be selected.
Simply put, a sand making machine is used to make sand, which means turning stones into sand; A crusher is a device that breaks large stones into stone blocks. The main difference between the two is their different process technology and processing steps. They play different roles in the sand production line and are indispensable commonly used equipment.
